  Testing  
 
Testing is a major requirement in fabrication of critical equipments manufactured. We have Qualified Team of Engineers catering to various types of Non Destructive testing.
 
     
  Functioning of Quality Control Dept :  
 
Our Quality Control Dept functions as complete Independent Dept with well experience Inspectors and clerical staffs who takes care of complete inspection documentation, records and tools.
 
     
   Inspection System:  
 
Inspection Dept functions right from Material Identification till dispatch of equipments (end products) and stringently follows the well laid down inspection procedures.
It also carries stagewise inspection and maintains records of activities/results in various associated formats.
Alignment tolerance of shell long seam and circ.seam are checked as per permissible offset limit.

  Welding  
 
CCMC Welding is carried out by Qualified Welders using qualified
  welding procedures and consumables.
CCMC Qualification tests are conducted as per ASME Sec IX and
  other international standards.

Baked electrodes from Stores oven issued to welders on
issuing a signed Requisition Slip from Supervisors mentioning the AWS
 
CCMC Not more than 10/15 electrodes are drawn at a time
CCMC SMAW is carried out using D.C.R.P to avoid stray arcing
CCMC The earthing lead is fixed on the job
CCMC
Wherever possible pressure bearing parts are welded from both sides
CCMC Before welding second side – DP test is conducted to check the soundness of weld.
CCMC Bought out components are checked as per specification and design requirements.
CCMC Additional tests are also carried out wherever required
CCMC Materials rejected are sent back to supplier or scrapped
CCMC Materials accepted are tagged with Job Number / Description / Size etc listed and properly stored

  Welding Consumables

Consumables are verified with batch numbers and corresponding manufacturers and if not available necessary tests (chemical and mechanical) are performed
 
CCMC Filler wires are tagged as per AWS designations and preserved properly

Welding electrodes are kept in stores shelves specially tagged according to AWS specification
 
 
     
  Stagewise Inspection

Shell plates are marked, cut to size and dimensions are checked

Templates meant for shell rolling and D/end forming are checked for radius and finish before releasing for longseam alignment and radius of shell is checked by means of such templates.
 
CCMC No deviations exceeding +3mm from true shape is permitted

When circularity is critical over and above standards/code tolerance, shell are re-rolled by regauging and in such case NDT of seam is conducted after gauging
 
 
     
  Forming

Dished ends are cold pressed, spun or hot pressed depending upon the thickness and size and checked for its shape by means of templates.
 
CCMC Tolerance is as per applicable codes and specification.

PWHT is carried out in accordance with requirement of design, construction codes / specification

All NDT on weld seams of formed head is carried out subsequent to forming and PWHT
 
 
     
  Raw material

Raw material received is checked for its compliance with the applicable design and material specification by Mill test certificates

Where the material cannot be fully identified it is further check tested according to relevant material specification to meet the test requirements

Dimensions are checked, verified and surface finish examined, any deviation the same are rejected.

Testing is performed only at approved test laboratories which are in co-ordinated with Third Party Inspection Agencies.

When part of material is used, they are marked, cut from one product, heat marks transferred, witnessed and stamped by CCMC – Quality Control Dept or by Third Party Inspection Agency
